Reopening Employment Services

Update June 30, 2021
The Ontario government recently announced their Roadmap to Reopening, which outlines how the province will gradually lift public health measures. We support the need to take these necessary steps to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

The West (Merivale) Employment Centre Location is pleased to serve clients in person starting July 5 (including in person appointments and access to the Resource Centre). We will also continue offering virtual services as clients prefer. Clients must book appointments in advance.

The Central (Isabella) Employment Centre location will remain open and available to serve clients virtually only. We expect this location to open to in person service soon!

Yes. Computers are accessible. Clients will be asked to sanitize their computer station before and after they use it.

There are a variety of measures that are being put in place to keep both clients and staff safe:

  • In-person appointments will be conducted in an open space with 2 meters distance between the staff and client.
  • All staff and clients who enter the premises will be asked to use the hand sanitization station located at the entrance.
  • All touchable surfaces are being disinfected regularly.
  • Documents that clients need to print will be emailed to the reception desk and printed on behalf of the client. This helps minimize the number of people touching the printer and surrounding surfaces.
  • Clients will be required to sanitize their computer station after they finish using it.
  • Limited amount of staff and clients in the centre at all times to allow for proper social distancing.
  • COVID-19 pre-screening assessments are completed for both staff and clients before they enter the premises.
