Y Canoe Camping Club

Come paddle with us! The National Capital Region YMCA-YWCA Canoe Camping Club (YCCC) has over 300 adult members, collaborating over 200 trips and training events throughout the paddling season for all skill levels.

Friendship, volunteerism, safety, skill and leadership development, low costs, carpooling and environmentally friendly camping are YCCC hallmarks (since 1952). All club events are run by volunteers, with the more experienced members mentoring beginning paddlers and campers.

Training Events
- Beginner and intermediate level are led by YCCC members - Paddle Canada Certified Instructors. 
- Advanced paddling courses are led by highly skilled, renowned paddlers from Ontario and beyond.

Trips
- Excursions range from relaxing to challenging depending on the interests and skill of participants.
- March - November for White Water (rolling clinics during winter months)
- May - November for Flat Water
- Evening paddles, day trips, weekend trips, multi-day trips, extended wilderness expeditions
- Destinations: Ontario, Quebec and beyond.

Families
- YCCC members with families organize picnics, easy outings and a family camp!  Parents new to canoeing or camping are assisted by knowledgeable YCCC members to have a positive experience for all family members.

Membership
YCCC membership provides access to club trips, training and social events throughout the year, canoe camping equipment (including our fleet of whitewater and flatwater canoes and touring kayaks) as well as the online calendar of events, club news, safety tips and more!
