LOCATION: Bonnenfant Y Outdoor Education and Leadership Centre
POSITION:  Camp Cleaner
VACANIES: 1 FULL-TIME (starting in March) / 1 PART-TIME (starting in May) 
PLACEMENT:   As soon as possible

OVERVIEW:

NATURE AND SCOPE:
The YMCA-YWCA of the National Capital Region’s Bonnenfant Outdoor Education and Leadership Centre offers outdoor education, adventure education and Leadership programs to school, community and corporate groups 12 months of the year.
The cleaner position will function as a team member responsible for the cleanliness of the site and all its assets, to ensure a safe and clean environment.  This person will be an active part of the outdoor education team and will be expected to contribute in all areas of outdoor education centre. This individual will be expected to work safely and set an example for others to follow
The Cleaner reports directly to the Facility Services Coordinator for competent and effective cleaning  of the site, buildings and assets. The Cleaner must be courteous and professional in dealing with clients, colleagues  and all members of the general public. The Cleaner should be a role model position to staff, children and customers, and must exemplify YMCA-YWCA values, and maintain a high standard of work ethic.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Create a strong presence and provide a welcoming environment
• Be a contributing team member and share in the overall responsibilities of the day to day operation
• Provide hands on cleaning services
• Ensure prescribed cleaning procedures and sequences are followed
• Ensure that proper cleaning products and tools are used according to directions

QUALIFICATIONS:
 
• One year cleaning experience
• Minimum Grade 10 Education Completed
• Knowledge of Cleaning products, Material, Equipment and Techniques.
• Experience working in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work in English, some French would be an asset
• Police Reference Check required
