About Camp Davern
At Camp Davern we prepare young women to succeed in the 21st century.
Nestled on 200 acres of pines, hills, cedars and trails, Camp Davern is an all-girls overnight camp that provides the perfect space to develop the necessary decision-making and life skills to assist our campers with growing up as girls.
Mentored by enthusiastic and charismatic staff, our campers are engaged in fun activities that challenge them to think critically and creatively, make thoughtful and caring decisions, and be agents of change. The Davern experience shapes girls who will respect differences, live with compassion, explore the natural world and realize their role in it.
At Davern, campers can try new things, explore hidden talents and experience new challenges. From learning how to set up a shelter to cooking on an overnight, from paddling a canoe or kayak to gaining a new level in swimming, from singing at the top of her lungs at campfire to acting in a play on our outdoor stage, there is something for every girl at Davern.
Choose from a 7 or 12 day program for 6-14 year old campers. Leadership programs for 15-16 year olds are 1 month in length. For those ages 5-7 looking for a shorter introduction to camp, we offer a 3 day Little Davern experience.

Financial Assistance
It is our belief that every child and youth should have the opportunity to experience summer camp. The National Capital Region YMCA-YWCA is a charity and through the generosity of our donors we provide opportunities for children and youth to participate in summer camps that they might not otherwise be able to afford.
