The YMCA-YWCA Employment Access Centres offer comprehensive employment and training resources and support to help with securing sustainable employment. Our services are open to all and there is no fee to participate.

Employment Consultation
  • Individualized one-on-one employment consultation to guide you through your job search
  • Support with all aspects of employment preparation
  • Referral and access to funded programs such as Second Career, Self-Employment Benefit program and Job Creation Partnership
  • Access to the Ottawa Job Match Network for Internationally Educated Professionals
Resource and Information Services
  • Computer resource centres and job search libraries
  • One-on-one assistance from helpful staff for résumé and cover letter writing, job search strategies and interview techniques
  • Information on training, apprenticeship, labour market, community supports and job postings
  • Interactive workshops relating to career exploration and employment preparation
  • Participation in employer hiring events and career fairs

  • Individualized support from Job Developers with job search and employer engagement
